Hemorrhoids – a topic that affects almost everyone, but which hardly anyone talks about. Around 70% of the Swiss population experience this condition at some point in their lives, but it remains a huge taboo.
Doetsch Grether, one of the leading companies in the consumer health market, wanted to change exactly that: to educate people, destigmatize prevention and treatment, and encourage society to talk openly about it.
Together with the three protagonists of the podcast Villa Margarita, a three-part video podcast series was created that combines medical expertise with humor and lightheartedness. Contcept took care of the entire implementation – from finding the location to filming. The series was accompanied by targeted PR measures that brought the topic to the attention of the general public.
The result: three informative and entertaining episodes that show that even sensitive health topics can be made accessible with the right tone. The response was huge – the campaign reached almost half a million people.
A successful example of how education breaks taboos and builds trust.
